Deep Fryer: Not Required

You’d never know they didn’t come out of the deep fryer. Crispy on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside. I find russet potatoes are the best for fries. Pan sautéd or grilled my friends. Easy!



  • Peel potatoes or leave skin on
  • Cut to your desired size or shape
  • Add to well salted large pot of boiling water


  • Blanch for 3 to 4 minutes, depending on size of cut
  • Don’t over cook or they’ll get mushy
  • Drain well and pat dry


  • Add generous amount of olive oil
  • Season with salt and pepper
  • To desired taste


  • Add to medium heat frying pan or toss on the grill
  • Turning occasionally
  • Cook till crispy on outside and fork tender in middle


  • Remove to paper towel to absorb some excess oil
  • Taste and adjust seasoning
  • Enjoy with your favorite condiment


Served with a big juicy burger or your favorite dish!
